During my repeated visits to the island of Sylt since 2014, I had the opportunity to immerse deeply into this unique landscape. Now my book SYLT - BETWEEN LAND AND SEA has been published via MAKEBOOK by Kozu Books (Bath, UK) in November 2025.

For thousands of years now the island of Sylt has been an ever changing area. Ongoing loss of land due to storm tides, shifting dunes and the intertidal ecosystem of the Wadden Sea have formed and at the same time also threatened the island since its separation from the mainland. Dating back to the 19th century, wooden groynes have been built as an attempt to tame the strong currents of the North Sea. Their remains are of particular interest for me as witnesses of the efforts to protect the island against the forces of nature. Together with the seemingly eternal roar of the surf they are convincing symbols of steadyness and unwaveringness to my eye.
The compilation of these images was eventually inspired by the experience of several days in dense fog on the island. Sky, land and sea seemed to merge, and all dimensions were only sketchy. I tried to convey these strong impressions through my photographs of Sylt in this book.

After dealing intensively with landscape photography for a long time, my book MOMENTS WITH TREES has been published via MAKEBOOK by Kozu Books (Bath, UK) in May 2025.

This book includes a carefully compiled selection of photographs from the last years, with „Trees“ as the central theme. The images were mainly taken in the surrounding areas of my home town Vienna in Austria, like the Vienna Woods and the riparian forests along the Danube east of Vienna. Some scenes were found in Forest Quarter in Lower Austria and in the northern part of Styria. There is also one image from Cornwall and another one from Scotland included. I decided to go without captures in favour of pure visual language.
